Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22, 1984, in New York City New York. She is an American actress/singer whose versatility has earned her recognition in a variety of kinds of genres, from thrillers to action films to period dramas. Johansson was born in New York City, and lived there with her architect father and producer mother. Hunter was the twin of her younger sister. When she reached seven years old, her love of acting had grown. She began to audition for commercials. To improve her abilities, she studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Manhattan as well as she attended the Professional Children's School. In her early years, Johansson appeared in Sophistry alongside Ethan Hawke and made her movie debut at Rob Reiner's North on the set of Rob Reiner's North in. Johansson subsequently appeared in Just Cause (1995) but her breakthrough was Manny & Lo (1996) an upcoming film that follows abandoned sisters who escape.
